I did the vertical stabilizer first on the suggestion of several people on the RV List. It's much simpler than the horizontal stabilizer and is a good introduction to the building process. The HS requires fabrication of some parts while the VS pretty much goes together. Since I hadn't figured out priming by the time I was ready to assemble, I moved on to the HS before the VS was complete.
