These are pictures of the Solstice Blizzard of 2006. If we have a white christmas this year, it will certainly be leftover from this storm. I measured 21" as of Wednesday night, and another 6" fell by Thursday morning. We had to shovel our driveway out to where the neighbors had graciously "plowed" the cul-de-sac with shovels the night before, mainly because one of them got stuck coming home. The snow was blowing so hard that visibility was next to zero, and the snow drifts in spots were about 4 feet deep. It was a great time to crank up a fire and relax at home for a couple of days while everything shut down
